Racing resumes with Scorchin' Summer Shootout specials on July 21st, 28th

Following a two week pause in the 2023 season for the "Summer Break," racing action will resume on Friday, July 21st with the AmeriFlex USRA B-Mod Scorchin' Summer Shootout presented by AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories. The USRA Stock Car Scorchin' Summer Shootout presented by Theodore Concrete Construction and Muskogee Powder Coating will take place the following Friday, July 28th. Each of those events pay the respective divisions $2,023 to win, $200 to start. No entry fee is required. 

Scorchin' Summer Shootout A-Main payout: 1st $2,023, 2nd $1,000, 3rd $800, 4th $600, 5th $500, 6th $400, 7th $350, 8th $300, 9th $250, 10th $225, 11th-24th $200. Non-qualifiers will receive $40. Scorchin' Summer Shootout A-Mains will award 50 track show-up points only to all drivers, but will award full USRA National and Regional points.

On Friday, July 21st, the Yeoman Race Engines USRA Modifieds will compete for $1,000 to win, $100 to start courtesy of Mark Yauk. Theodore Concrete Construction is sponsoring FREE pit passes for the USRA Stock Car drivers on Friday, July 28th. All Arrowhead Championship Series Driven by America's Car-Mart divisions will be in action at both events. 

Each Scorchin' Summer Shootout event will feature a $300 to win pole dash. Allen Autosports Race Cars is the sponsor of the AmeriFlex USRA B-Mod pole dash while Rural Propane is sponsoring the USRA Stock Car pole dash. The procedure for the pole dash is as follows: The top 6 qualifiers in passing points from heat races will compete in a 6-lap pole dash. The winner will get the option to start pole in the A-Main or forfeit the pole and take the $300, but must start 6th in the A-Main if accepting the cash. If the winner opts to start on the pole, the same option will be given to the 2nd place finisher in the pole dash. If both drivers opt to stay on the front row, the $300 will be split evenly among all drivers in the pole dash. If either driver opts to start 6th and wins the A-Main they will win an additional $200. 

Event times for July 21st and July 28th: pit gates open at 4:00 p.m., grandstand gates open at 6:00 p.m., drivers meeting at 7:00 p.m., hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8:00 p.m. 

Grandstand prices for July 21st and July 28th: $15 adults, $10 seniors (62+), $10 juniors (13-17), $5 kids (6-12) and free for kids 5 and under. Pit passes will be $30 for all ages 6 and up.
